In July 2015, USG, the Cote d’Ivoire government, and other stakeholders such as the World Health Organization, the United Nations Food and Agricultural Organization, universities and the private sector engaged in a process to identify gaps, challenges and priorities for the Global Health Security Agenda (GHSA) in Cote d’Ivoire. The GHSA consultative process included a Planning Workshop held in Abidjan July 21-22, 2015, facilitated by P&R. The workshop outcomes were taken into account in developing the GHSA Roadmap for Cote d’Ivoire.
A P&R team conducted an introductory visit August 24-28, 2015. The timing of a P&R follow-up visit for the identification of priority needs and gaps and develop the country implementation plan will depend on the security situation in the country and the timing for the GHSA roadmap implementation.
An additional GHSA planning workshop will be facilitated by P&R in late January, 2016
