USAID Indonesia held a series of consultation meetings alongside EPT 2 partners, and diverse government stakeholders on July 17, 2017. The three day meeting was designed to highlight the EPT 2 program’s achievements, plans and challenges in Indonesia.
Held annually, the EPT 2 Strategic Planning Meeting is a critical opportunity to raise awareness on the program’s progress and impact, while ensuring the program remains aligned with the Indonesian government’s priorities and other partner priorities.
P&R assisted in organizing this exchange meeting that was well attended by representatives from the Coordinating Ministry of Human Development and Cultural Affairs (Kemenko PMK), Ministry of Health (MOH), Ministry of Agriculture (MOA), and many others. EPT 2 partners allocated day one of this meeting to internal planning and partner updates on overall objectives, key achievements, and activities for Y-4. They were also able to exchange ideas and raise challenges for improved coordination and communication going forward. The latter two days featured presentations, and panel discussions for key stakeholders to provide direct feedback in line with project priorities.
Representatives discussed key challenges like human resources and internal coordination within ministries. In the ongoing effort to advance One Health, partners and stakeholders emphasized the importance of continued commitment and support to strengthen coordination and collaboration across sectors, agencies, and geographic borders.
